IN SHORT
Single Quantum (singlequantum.com) makes the world's fastest and most-sensitive light-detection systems limited only by the laws of physics!
As a scale- up company, we are growing steadily in both size and presence worldwide. We are looking for a new Assembly Technican to join our Mounting and Bonding team to strengthen our growing organisation, based at our headquarters in Delft.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As our Assembly Technician, you will be the first point of contact for our detectors after the fabrication process.
Your main tasks include:
- Performing the handover of incoming detectors from the nanofabrication team;
- Preparing printed circuit boards (PCBs);
- Providing support to the Detector Testing and Nanofabrication teams;
- Optical assembling of detectors;
- Assembling fiber-coupled and flood-illumination detectors onto printed circuit boards (PCBs);
- Making electrical connections using the bonding machine;
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality detectors to the Production and R&D teams;
- Ensuring the availability and proper organisation of tools and consumables;
- Maintaining and handling laboratory equipment responsibly;
- Working in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures);
- Contributing to the creation and updating of SOPs.
With the ongoing improvement and growth of our single-photon detectors, you are also closely involved in new developments!
The detectors are the beating heart of our products; they are the light-sensitive components that make the world's fastest and most sensitive light detection possible. In the Mounting & Bonding team, you couple and connect these detectors with the highest possible precision – from assembling fibre-coupled detectors into a sleeve to bonding them onto printed circuit boards. That is why the highest possible quality is required. Ultimately, you deliver a physical product for both commercial and research purposes.
