The quantum world is small but growing. We are a steadily-growing scale-up with an ever-expanding worldwide customer base. We provide our photon detection systems to a wide range of customers and research institutes.

We are looking for a Technical Purchaser who will take charge in ensuring the continuous flow in the production and operations processes of Single Quantum by managing the supply chain in Single Quantum is well managed. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of supply chain and logistical processes. In addition, they have an affinity to hardware engineering and instrumentation.

You will assist in setting up the company's procurement policy and plan for the purchase of supplies, parts, equipment and services. You will negotiate with suppliers for getting the best deal in price and lead time and then follow up and monitor the delivery status of orders. Additionally, you will also collaborate closely with our fellow engineers and technicians to ensure optimal selection and quality of technical components and materials.

What You Will Be Doing

Purchase tasks with main suppliers
Supplier management
Technical coordination: Understanding technical specifications, collaborate with the engineers and technicians to ensure the quality
Procurement processes: Optimising supply chain of key components, requesting/comparing quotes, placing/tracking orders, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving issues
Quality and compliance: Company and component certifications, handling non-conformities;
Inventory and logistics: Maintain stock levels, managing lead times, organizing transport/customs for international procurement;
Safety stock management

Your profile and requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, etc);
Experience in International Purchasing at a manufacturing company;
Experience in using ERP system;
Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude;
Innovative mindset and problem-solving skills;
Good negotiation skills.

The following are a plus:

Affinity in hardware engineering.
